I saw this today. I haven’t tested it but it seems legit. Apparently its proven though and works on most elevators. It seems this hack has been around the net for years–I’m sort of mad I never saw it. Just hold your (target) floor number and the door-close button for 5 seconds or so, and you’re off!
Have fun with the mayhem, and Happy Holidays!

As a parent, this is so annoying to know. What if we are in a hospital where most people are in a hurry? Maybe this should be closely monitored by building administrators. Thanks for this info.

I can’t wait until I have to go to my next highrise (usually I take the stairs) I forwarded this to my NYC friends and the office workers (suckers) that I know.
Me and the kids still have most of our fun pressing each and every button. I mean, who doesn’t want to spend 45 minutes in an elevator?
